Higher skill levels increase the number of recipes you can use, and make it easier to learn new ones. Also raises max RP, INT and VIT.

Once you spend your Prince/Princess points on your Chemistry License, you can then purchase a Chemistry set from Nancy or Jones in the clinic. Once you have this Chemistry Set you can then make your own potions, antidotes, and fertilizers (among other things), which can be very helpful since they cost so much.
